The Grand Prix Ecole Navale (French Navy Academy).

After the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, the Grand Prix Ecole Navale.
Collaboration in the high-resolution weather modeling, initiated by Yann Amice aims to provide future sports competitors and the most effective products for today weather.
This project is based on the technical assistance and support of Weather’n’ride and Intel that provide complimentary technology platform to develop high-resolution models, but also a first-rate scientific support to bring the performance to its highest level in France.

In a few words ?

GPEN is certainly a reference since the harbor of Brest is complex due to its terrain and also when the thermal phenomena decide to go in. This main aspect use its more accurate term: sensitivity of meteorological models.

Given this context , the meeting of the best performers in their respective fields allows this challenge.  Yann Amice’s experience added to these actors opens new perspectives in terms of exploitation of meteorological parameters for the greatest benefit for everyone on the water.

Yann Amice , Senior Master in the Navy and currently stationed in the center of Toulouse joint development studied for years the bay of Brest with Lieutenant (Navy) Alain Daoulas .
Numerous exchanges resulting materialize today in this approach that modeling tends to describe the complexity of the playground. Shared the same desire to always push a bit further the limits of knowledge to improve performance .
